Angharad & Kyle’s Intimate Elopement Wedding at Rose Cottage
Angharad and Kyle’s love story began with a Tinder swipe – right (or maybe left, they’re not quite sure!) – but it led them on the most wonderful journey together. Sharing a love for live music, street food, and each other, their idea of the perfect day includes dancing at a festival and discovering delicious treats. So when it came to planning their wedding, they knew it had to be something a little different – something just for them.
Why They Chose an Intimate Elopement Wedding
With large families and all the politics and pressures that come with them, the idea of a traditional wedding didn’t feel right for Angharad and Kyle. They wanted their day to be about the two of them – not seating charts, speeches, or formalities. As Angharad put it:
“We’d been to big weddings where the couple felt lost in the day. It was more about the guests and how much the dinner cost than the love story being celebrated.”
Eloping gave them the freedom to focus on what really mattered: their love. And to celebrate with family afterwards in their own way – a big, joyful party at a local rugby club.
Discovering Millbrook Estate
Angharad works as a nurse in the NHS, and it was through a colleague that she first heard about Millbrook Estate. Her friend had eloped here and shared photos that captured Angharad’s heart. When Kyle proposed, there was no question where they’d go.

Their wedding day was filled with sunshine, laughter, and personal touches that made the experience truly theirs. And, being foodies, it’s no surprise their highlight was dinner!
“We had a private chef cook for us in the Summerhouse – dining as the sun went down was just magical.”
And a certain four-legged friend made the day extra memorable too – one of Millbrook’s much-loved cats joined them throughout the day, even making an appearance at their ceremony and mealtime.
