Nestled in a gorgeous North Devon valley, Millbrook is a stunning 32-acre estate offering four luxury holiday cottages and elopement weddings in our gorgeous summer house. But it’s also home sweet home for us – Kate, Bob, our daughter Iszi, and son Louie. We first laid eyes on Millbrook in the summer of 2004 and instantly fell in love with its beauty. It needed a lot of TLC, but we saw a challenge we couldn’t resist.
Our love affair with Millbrook truly began when we moved in, in 2005. In 2010, we were lucky enough to be the first couple to marry in the summer house, and that’s where our passion for elopement weddings started! Ever since, we’ve been devoted to making Millbrook a place of charm, peace, and beauty, constantly working to enhance its magic.
In 2016, we added Tree Top Escape, a luxurious hideaway in the treetops, offering intimate weddings for up to 14 guests.

Meet Meg, Justine and Nicola
At Millbrook Estate, our small but dedicated team of wedding coordinators is here to make your day as relaxed and special as possible.
Meg is your main point of contact and always just a phone call away – ready to help with planning, questions, and last-minute details. Nicola takes care of weddings at Tree Top Escape and often supports at Millbrook too, ensuring everything runs smoothly with her calm and friendly approach. On the day itself, Justine is there to assist with all the little touches – from pinning buttonholes to calming nerves – so everything feels effortless.
As a close-knit team, we’re passionate about offering personal, kind and non-judgemental support, making sure your wedding is truly your own – and truly magical.

Tree Top Escape
Tree Top Escape was purpose-built in 2016 and, while part of the wider Millbrook Estate, it has its own private driveway and entrance, offering total seclusion for your special day.
This is more than just a wedding venue – it’s a complete wedding experience. At the heart of Tree Top Escape is a luxurious treehouse, perched high on stilts, with sweeping countryside views and a calming, contemporary interior for your mini moon stay.
Couples exchange their vows in The Nest – a beautifully designed, glass-fronted ceremony space that feels both intimate and unforgettable.
With 5-star accommodation for up to four guests, Tree Top Escape is a private retreat perfect for mini-moons and relaxed celebrations. The venue can host intimate weddings for up to 14 guests, combining privacy, luxury, and nature in the most magical way.

Since 2005, Millbrook Estate has been proudly recognised within the Tourism Awards, earning accolades across both our luxury accommodation and intimate wedding venues. Over the years, we’ve achieved GOLD seven times, including being named Self-Catering Accommodation of the Year for the South West of England and Dog-Friendly Business of the Year, reflecting our commitment to exceptional stays in a beautiful rural setting.
Alongside our cottages, Millbrook Estate has become one of the UK’s most respected elopement and intimate wedding venues, recognised for creating deeply personal, meaningful celebrations. We were delighted to receive SILVER for Wedding Venue of the Year at the Devon Tourism Awards, alongside being named Intimate Wedding Venue of the Year at the South West Wedding Awards. Our wedding journey has also included honours such as Country Wedding Venue of the Year at both regional and national levels.
Our dedication to guest experience is further reflected in our reviews. We are proud recipients of the Feefo Platinum Trusted Service Award for multiple consecutive years, and to have been honoured twice with the Feefo Exceptional Service Award — an accolade awarded to just 32 businesses worldwide each year, recognising truly outstanding service.

Funding
In February 2025, we received funding through the Business Boost 2 programme, supported by Torridge District Council and the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. This funding is helping us run targeted Google Ads campaigns to complement and strengthen our own SEO efforts.
