One of the things our couples love most about eloping at Millbrook Estate is getting to spend time with our four alpacas — Alberto, May, Holly and Winter. Hand-feeding and photos with them are included free with every elopement package, and they have a habit of completely stealing the show.
Why Alpacas Work So Well on a Wedding Day
Alpacas are naturally curious and gentle, which makes them genuinely good company for a relaxed afternoon on the estate. They love being fed by hand and are usually more than happy to be part of your wedding photos — although, as with any animals, they occasionally have their own ideas about where they'd rather be. It's all part of the fun.
Alpacas vs. Llamas
Alpacas are generally smaller and friendlier than llamas, and very rarely spit. They're sociable animals — expect Alberto, May, Holly and Winter to follow you around with interest, which makes them a lot of fun for couples who want something a little different from their wedding day.
Alpacas in Your Wedding Photos
Whether it's a candid shot while you're feeding them or a more relaxed moment together, Alberto, May, Holly and Winter are natural photo companions. Our recommended elopement photographers are well used to working with them, and the results are always lovely.
