At Millbrook Estate, we know that dogs are more than just pets – they're part of the family. And if you're planning an elopement wedding, there's no reason your four-legged best friend can't be right there with you on your special day. In fact, we love welcoming well-behaved pups to our dog-friendly estate, and over the years, we’ve seen so many tail-wagging moments shared between couples and their dogs.

Here are our top tips for making your elopement wedding truly dog-friendly and unforgettable:

1. Choose Dog-Friendly Accommodation At Millbrook, we have two luxury self-catering accommodation that are completely dog friendly. From the spacious Wheel Room to the romantic Lakeview, your dog is welcome to relax right alongside you. With 32 acres of grounds to explore, there are plenty of walks, smells and sticks to keep them entertained!



2. Let Them Be Part of the Ceremony Whether you want them walking down the aisle, wearing a floral collar, or simply sitting nearby as you say your vows, your dog can absolutely be part of your ceremony. We’ve seen pups acting as ring bearers, vow witnesses, and even giving a paw of approval during the first kiss!



3. Dress Them for the Occasion Many of our couples love adding a little wedding flair to their pup’s look – whether it’s a smart bow tie, floral collar, or even a mini tux. Just be sure your dog is happy and comfortable in whatever they wear (and don’t forget the photos!).



4. Capture the Moments Photographers at Millbrook are brilliant at including your dog in the photos. From first looks to scenic woodland walks and even cuddles by the Summerhouse, your furry friend adds so much personality and love to your wedding album.



5. Keep Them Safe and Happy Remember to pack their favourite toys, a cosy bed, treats, and food. While the day is exciting, familiar comforts will help them settle and enjoy the experience too.
